The Newton Boys claimed to be responsible for 87 bank robberies and 6 train heists from 1919-1924.  Their career ending train robbery on June 12, 1924 in Rondout, IL landed them in the record books for the largest train heist in U.S. history, with the group stealing 3 million in cash, negotiable securities and jewelry.
